Earlier this month we had the pleasure of photographing Angela and Trevor’s wedding down in San Diego. I have been friends with Trevor since high school, and am so happy to see them so happy together, the pair are just perfect for each other. They met on a Disneyland outing through mutual friends and have since enjoyed many dates at Disneyland (including when Trevor proposed), thus Disney details were appropriately sprinkled throughout their wedding. This included a little Cinderella carriage charm which re-appeared every once in a while, as well as Fast Pass seating cards at the reception tables, and of course Mickey-ear bride and groom hats. The two of them are also enthusiastic dancers, who made sure their wedding party had comfortable Converse sneakers at the ready for the dancefloor, and also coordinated a flash-mob number shortly after their reception began.

Venue (Ceremony): St. Mary Catholic Church
Venue (Reception): Museum of Photographic Art, Balboa Park
Hair & Makeup: Leeland Tatta, Jean Claude Salon & Spa
Flowers: Adelaide’s Flowers
Cake: Flour Power Cakery
DJ: B-Boy Productions, Inc.
Video: Forty-One Twenty
Coordination: JSJ Designs
Catering: The Abbey Catering

Trevor’s reaction to seeing Angela for the first time is one of my favorite sequences to date. So touching!
Angela surprised Trevor when she revealed that the full-length portion of her dress was actually removable, so she was better able to move and dance at the reception.
Hadouken-ing!! That’s an actual thing, did you know?
Trevor is a UCLA Bruin and Angela is a USC Trojan, so in honor of Mother’s Day (the same weekend), the couple gifted each of their mothers with college tees from their  kids’ other school.

  • Hi there,

This is *completely* random and I don’t know if you’ll be able to help me, but I stumbled onto a picture of the bride’s blue flats on Pinterest, and it turned out to be from this page: http://www.luminaireimages.com/blog/balboa-park-wedding-photos/ I absolutely LOVE those shoes. It’s probably a long shot, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to find out where they were from; I’m getting married this summer and that’s almost exactly what I’m looking for!

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide – your photos are GORGEOUS!

  • I saw you already got a question about this but is there anyway you could find out what the blue shoes the bride is wearing for the ceremony in the http://www.luminaireimages.com/blog/balboa-park-wedding-photos/ album? I am totally in love with her shoes and would love to know what kind they are…

  • Hey everyone! I did ask the bride about her shoes and she told me that she purchased them at a mall in the Philippines and she is not sure where one can find them here in the States. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!
