In addition to a ring, Bill also gave Ellen their initials to wear!
Isn’t spotting a bluejay of happiness during your engagement session a really, really good omen?

Congratulations to Bill + Ellen!

Genneia and Jay are getting married next May (’11!). Genneia is totally ON IT, getting their engagement photographs taken so early!

Congratulations on your engagement, you two!
A couple weeks ago I shot a “Come Together” session with Leanne and Thomas…at Disneyland! The Happiest Place on Earth is supreme for engagement shoots: nice foliage, ponds, bridges, waterfalls…what’s not to love? These kids are fun, too! They’re getting married on Halloween and having a PIRATE THEMED wedding!!!

Thomas practicing his groomly airs.

Leanne’s nickname is “Sparkles” due to her sugar-sweet, ham-tastic personality. It looks like she’s blowing sparkly fairy dust at Tommy in this pic!!

Have I mentioned sparkly personality?

Lastly, there was NO WAY I was going to shoot at an amusement park and not go on a ride! In a way these are my favorite shots of the day =)

I loooove how Miriam and Alberto pose naturally, the’re model models, lol!

Alberto is a marine…hands off ladies, he’s officially taken!

We got a little wet! But that’s to be expected with a beach shoot…if it wasn’t apparent enough when I showed up wearing board shorts!

There’s something about this shot that I just love, I’m not sure what it is…

This weekend I shot Andrea and Zach’s engagement session in anticipation on their wedding in March…or April? of 2009. Seriously Andrea, pick a date! Lol!

Andrera and Zach looked so blissfully happy taking this shot that people on the street honked for them as they drove past!

Zach admiring the park art. From “behind.”

Zach maintained that he and Andrea had to make sure and get a lot of practice making out before their big day. Luckily they didn’t mind practicing in front of ME!

Erin & Jack have to be the wittiest couple ever…I consider myself pretty funny sometimes, but I have NOTHING on these two…who needs television writers when you’re having a great engagement shoot with such a HILARIOUS couple?? I mean, it was nonstop banter. Totally fun.

Hahah…out of all the books on the shelves… =)

It may be a more unusual shoot location, but I like incorporating personalities and interests into any shoot!

We went outside the library to a park area to continue the shoot before it got dark.

I always love a good clump of cat-tails.

What couple of goofs! I can’t wait for their wedding in August!

I really like “walking off into the sunset together” type shots, they seem so classic and cinematic.

Again, SILLIES!!

Hahaha, they picked up some sticks and started a sword/lightsaber fight…can we say funnest couple evahr??

VICTORY!!

Erin is such a goof!

In conversation I asked if they had any special talents they wanted to show off for me, and Erin answered, “No, we’re pretty boring average people.” Then Jack picked up a couple seedpods and started to juggle…

…And then tossed them over to Erin who kept up the juggling! “Average boring people,” YEAH RIGHT!! Can’t say I’ve met any other couples that can both JUGGLE!

Jack trying to sneak up on Erin (she was wise to it tho…sharp cookie!)

We’ve had some uncharacteristically stormy weather here, but it can make for great sunsets!!
