As it turns out, the Hogwarts party we photographed was so memorable, our clients had to preserve it in book form, for the ages! They ordered a 10×10 hardcover AsukaBook and an 8×8 duplicate, which includes a sleek black case with gold embossing, as well as a glossy custom-designed dust jacket. The page designs were created in-house exclusively for the client. Who wouldn’t want to show off this awesome album, especially when the holidays roll around and friends come to visit and reminisce about such an unforgettable event!

2011 was a year of exciting growth and event opportunities for us, we photographed a good number of interesting and innovative happenings.

Take, for example, this charity military-wedding event we photographed that featured 21 couples marrying all in the same ceremony!

In the spring we headed down to Palm Desert to photograph a destination corporate event, starring none other than Clyde the painting camel at the Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Gardens.

ISES Los Angeles invited us to photograph their Awards Banquet in July, which was fun!

Speaking of meetings, how about this stunner of a WIPA networking function back in June?

Matt and I photographed a number of events produced by Simply Mumtaz this year, however I think the this event at the Biltmore was my favorite. So much golden deliciousness.

Totally had no idea Billy Zane was in attendance (pictured with Jennifer & Joella of Simply Mumtaz) under afterwards. LOL!

Matt and I love Cirque du Soleil, so I was terribly excited that Site SoCal asked us to photograph their VIP Appreciation Event, which included tickets to a preview of Cirque’s new show in Los Angeles.

Of course, who could forget Natalie’s big 30th birthday party….in pink! I didn’t blog the photos due to potential publication usage, however you can view them at our Facebook page.

Not to mention, the Living Desert’s “Howl-O-Ween” event. Now THAT was fun!

Last, but certainly not least, is the famed Harry Potter holiday party. Who wouldn’t like to throw a bash this amazing?! You’d have to talk to My Flower Guy, who pulled it all together!

We loved doing all these events, they keep us fresh. It’s also so cool to see what our peers in this industry can dream up….here’s to more awesome events coming up in 2012, can’t wait to photograph ‘em!

Some of our favorite images from weddings we photographed this year. Ah, memories.

Early in the year I photographed the wedding of Jill & Joselito, which was special to me since I’ve known Jill since high school. She sure made a beautiful bride, as well!

I also photographed Julie & Mike’s very special wedding this September. They were so, SO happy together, as evident by the look on Julie’s face when she first saw Mike in his spiffy white suit!

Julie & Mike also had amazing design team headed by Charm Events. They really brought their A-game for the couple.

We also photographed the wedding of Kim & Jody this spring. The couple wed on the same day as Prince William & Kate Middleton, it was a “wedding fever” weekend for sure!

They look so happy during their first dance as husband and wife! Too cute of a couple.

Then there was Wendy & Sean’s sweet woodsy wedding, rich with delightful personal touches by ZOe Productions.

I also photographed Nancy and Vinny’s wedding ceremony at the eye-popping Our Lady of Angels Cathedral in downtown Los Angeles. GORGEOUS venue with utterly glorious acoustics.

We also traveled to the Palm Springs area to photograph Jessica & Egan’s colorful pink-and-orange wedding. Just in time before the weather got too overwhelming in that area!

And of course, who could forget Lauren & James’ sweet DIY wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art!

Because Lauren & James got married at an art museum, Matt and I figured it would be fitting to create an abstract, artistic portrait of them.

Jill & Joselito’s custom wedding album has arrived, just in time for the holidays! Their 10×15 Finao book includes an aqua-toned leather cover custom with a green textured spine designed to match their wedding colors, with a nice big photo cut-0ut and clear black name stamping. The page designs were created in-house exclusively for the couple. I just had to show off this spiffy book, I think it’s an amazing keepsake to display on the coffee table for all their holiday visitors…not to mention a brand new special heirloom for Jill & Joselito’s family!

Of course I am the perfect photographer for this kind of party given that I am a fan of the Harry Potter book series, myself. I even borrowed a Slytherin-student sweater, scarf, and tie from my friend Allison to wear to this fun costume party hosted at a private villa in Sierra Madre. The eye-popping design and atmosphere were conceived and created by Doyle over at My Flower Guy, who utilized Rrivre Works for design execution, and invited me to come cover some of his incredible creations.

Of course it's not a Harry Potter party without these!

I know you…yes YOU…who are reading this right now are already picturing a fuzzy purring kitty or wagging smiley dog with a big red bow tied to their collar under your Christmas tree! Instead of visions of sugarplums, these sweet furbabies just have visions of a warm home and happy hug from a loving owner.
