Living Desert ostrich

Last week we had the sheer delight of photographing trick-or-treating and other fun family activities at The Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Garden, during their annual public “Howl-O-Ween” event. The festival runs three nights and helps generate funds for the organization as well as provides some safe scares and sweet treats in celebration of all things spook-tacular!  The lighting was certainly a challenge (if it ain’t dark, it ain’t spooky!), but we managed to nab some great captures that really illustrate what Halloween is all about!

One of the "stops" on the Fright Ride tram tour. I love the body parts littering the scene.

Zombie attack!

The look on the face of the kid in the middle seat is worth a thousand words. Zombie attack!!

Trick roper

Trick roper Dave Thornbury delighted audiences with his well-practiced skill set.

Dracula popped out of the shadows now and again to examine necks during the Fright Ride tram tour.
