Lots of new babies lately means many more sweet faces and tiny toes to photograph!
How cute is this family? I love park sessions, it's always so peaceful and so many different options for backgrounds and sunshine through the treetops.
This beautiful baby! Born into a beautiful family who designed a beautiful nursery for her. Hopefully my photos are up to scratch because clearly the standards are high.
Plans are in motion for this baby's upcoming arrival! Here are some family/maternity pictures taken over the winter with mom, dad, and soon-to-be big sis! I love the sun-soaked look that we were able to get.
Wrangling my own baby (now 8 months old) over the last year has been enough of a challenge to blogging, so clearly I am pretty far behind. These are some of my favorite newborn and infant photos (of other people's babies!) taken over the past year. Oh, to be so young and cute!
It's not every day you turn the big TWO. The celebration calls for lots and LOTS of frosting.
In case you missed it, I am currently booking family portraits for limited dates, late September through late November. If you're on the fence about getting some, here are some favorites from last year!
I have been meaning to blog this sweet session for a while now! As his mama told me, Everest was so named because "I had to climb Everest to have him." His beautifully decorated nursery had some pristine window-light, so it was definitely not a mountainous struggle to get some splendid newborn photos of him!
This family. They are the cuuuuuutest! I am a big fan of little Nathan's luminous smile. We photographed another maternity session when they were pregnant with him, too. These sweet family photos taken while they're all on the verge of graduating from "three to four" just make my heart so happy for them!
Baby Charlotte has nothing to worry about, in addition to her doting parents she has two big brothers keeping an eye out for her! Here are a few of my favorites from her newborn session, created recently in her own home...
I found a new "secret spot" recently and have been excited to try it out on someone. I found that someone with Rita and her little clan, who are about to add one more member!I have to say, their little boy is one of the sweetest and best-behaved toddlers I've come across for a photo session. He is going to make a swell big brother!
Sweet baby Kaitlyn was born at a healthy 9lbs this month and was alert for a good amount of her newborn session, turning her head this way and that way at only a week old, trying to study window-light and listening to the camera shutter. Possibly a future photographer, right here!
It's always enjoyable to stretch the creative muscles and have a session in a more unique space than the typical popular sites! Megan and Jose met at the Long Beach Museum of Art and wanted to get some photos there while expecting their first baby.
Marek's parents are self-professed nerds at heart, so naturally there was much geeking out about Star Wars, Firefly, and Doctor Who during his newborn session!Any Doctor Who/River Song fans in the hizzy?
Little Nash made his big debut earlier this month and has been charming his parents. His big sister also loves him as much as she loves "snackies." LOL! Gotta love those terrible two's.Ahoy!Nash's big sister working through some post-nap grumps.Milk comaaaaa!
Nathan is the first newborn I've photographed since having a baby of my own (you may remember his parents' maternity session from a few months ago!) and what's fascinating is that to me, suddenly all newborns are vastly different from each other. My Coral is a big, robust, expressive 5-week-old baby while Nathan is still a tiny, delicate, sleepy, serious little 2-week-old peanut. That doesn't mean that he didn't absolutely rock his photo session...including all the adorable hats his parents found for him!
Apparently the Sox have brand new fan!
I love asking new mothers about their favorite features in their newborn babies, because most of the time those features will be gone and outgrown within a matter of months. Nathan's mama said she loves his "tiny little triangles" of nostrils.
Welcome to the world, Nathan!
We photographed Pamela and Matt's wedding a few years ago so it was exciting to get their inquiry about some maternity photos for them now, too! The two of them are expecting a little bambino around early March and got some fabulous January weather for their pregnancy pictures. And yes, I totally photographed this session while pregnant myself. I like to give the nice beachgoers down in Newport a good show.
I giggle every time I look at this shoe photo, because the tiny little shoes look like laughing mouths, complete with tongues!
