It was quite an honor for Matt and I to be invited to photograph the Wedding Industry Professionals Association October meeting at the Huntington Beach Hilton Waterfront this week. After an engaging glimpse into catering and menu design trends from award-winning chef Andrew Spurgin from Waters Catering, members were seated in the beautifully bedecked Cielo Maro room for dinner. Sponsors and designers for the event included furniture by AFR Rentals, floral design by FlowerFusion, desserts by A Wish and a Whisk, linens by BBJ Linens, wine by ONEHOPE Wine, printing from The Card Lady, music by Del Lago Trio, and chairs with coverings from Classic Party Rentals.
Christine and Jess are musicians with the Air Force band, so any official government function you ever see on television with a band or orchestra/quartet performing, look for them! They live in D.C. but decided to get married on the sunny California coast during an deliciously warm Memorial Day weekend.

Christine and Jess opted to see each other before the ceremony at their 'home base' for the day: The Shorebreak Hotel.
LOVE all the color and light at this hotel!
Cutest flower girl ever.
The couple were wed at Christine's church from her childhood, Korean First Presbyterian Church in Westminster, CA
I don't know what's going on, but this kid's face has mischief written all over it.

There was lots of bowing in accordance with Korean tradition
Directly following the ceremony there was a traditional Korean ceremony. (R) Image by Matt
I think Christine's mother might be a teensy, tiny bit excited about this wedding?
LOVE this image by Matt!

Following the wedding there was an after-party at one of my favorite restaurants, Twenty-Five Degrees.
Party all night, ya'll!

Summer's here and so are more friendly faces from the Orange County Humane Society shelter, just a block up Newland from the beach! The Humane Society is now also showcasing some of their dogs, cats, and rabbits at the Strand on 5th and PCH during the Huntington Beach Tuesday night street fair every week. Check them out!
Bobby begs, "Please, pick me!"

Poor Simon was living the good life until his owner died and no one would take him in :(

Myra couldn't resist the kitty toy!
If you're going to end a post with a smile, there's no smilier face than Indigo's! She just loves life!
