Anne & Jo ceremony at Los Angeles Arboretum

These two at the arboretum in Arcadia! Talk about B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Anne and Jo had an intimate marriage ceremony amidst the greenery last month and despite the waning summer heat (and the mosquitos!) their photos are among my favorites taken this year.

Inn of the Seventh Ray wedding photos

Maaay have had a personal connection to this gorgeous couple. Their intimate canyon wedding was attended by so many loving and supportive friends and family members! Weddings can be so emotionally draining to plan and execute, but the warm and glowing atmosphere like that at this event is totally the payoff. Brittany & Tom's Cute Long Beach Wedding

Brittany and Tom come from such warm, loving, and supportive families who were itching at the opportunity to help create and plan the perfect wedding for them, particularly since the couple themselves hail from the SF Bay area instead of locally in Long Beach. All that assistance paid off in the form of a beautiful June affair at LBMA! Mission Inn Riverside wedding photographer - Sandra and Art

While editing these photos kept noticing Sandra's youthful glow, or the twinkle of mischief in Art's eye. These two have to be the very definition of "young at heart." Tracy and Richard Wedding at Westridge Golf Club

What I love about Tracy and Richard is that they are so salt-of-the-earth, All-American, and mellow; case in point: Richard goes by the nickname "Bub," among both friends and family. You might remember Tracy and Bub's engagement session at Stone Brewing Company, which they opted for because one of their favorite pastimes is just hanging out with a good beer. And at their wedding, it was like the inevitable chaos that occurs on a wedding day just seemed to sort of happen around them instead happen to them; any concerns that cropped up seemed to roll right off their backs like it was nothing. Talk about a model couple!Venue: Westridge Golf Club in La Habra, CAPlanning: Silver Charm EventsFloral Design: The Enchanted FloristBride's dress: Maggie SotteroBride's shoes: Audrey Brooke

Cafe Pinot Wedding Downtown Los Angeles | Adrienne and Cameron

We know Adrienne as the sweet, quirky, cheerful, and endlessly-helpful shop manager for Dandelion Ranch, one of our favorite floral designers. Cameron is her perfect match in playfulness and good humor, so it was a delight photographing their wedding in sunny downtown Los Angeles. The pair incorporated beautiful designs from Dandelion Ranch into their wedding, of course, including a touch of unripened blueberries in the florals as a tribute to Adrienne's father, now deceased, who was a blueberry farmer in Rhode Island. Other unique ideas involved donations made to the American Heart Association in honor of guests instead of distributing favors, and  an old upright piano as a display table for both the ceremony and reception. I am also in love with the venue they chose, dying to go back for more events there soon!Venue: Café Pinot in downtown Los AngelesCoordination: Cassandra Santor WeddingsLighting: Amber Event ProductionFloral Design: Dandelion RanchDJ: Vox DJsDesserts: Cake MonkeyHair & Makeup: JoAnne OrrWedding Dress: Oleg CassiniBride's Shoes: Glint

Huron Substation Wedding: Lockell & Chris

I have to say, photographing a wedding during wiltingly hot weather can be really difficult. But it makes a huge difference when you have a gorgeous bride as cheerful as Lockell, and a smartly-dressed groom as calm and relaxed as Chris. Not to mention as supportive and responsive a bridal party as they had! Here are some of our favorites from their orange-and-lemon "train themed" wedding!Wedding & reception venue: Huron Substation, a 1906 historic building that used to house high-voltage electrical equipment.Coordination: Nira at Amber EventsFloral design: Peony & PlumMakeup: Jen CasteloHairstyling: Ursula at Mahogany Hair RevolutionRentals: Town & CountryVideography: Engeinus ProductionsDJ: Mister WilsonOfficiant: Clint HufftCatering: Eco CatersLighting: Aspect LightingDesserts: Sweet & Saucy Shop"Home base" venue: The Charlie Hotel

The look on his face when everybody jumped in to alert him to his misstep!

Disney Concert Hall Wedding Photos | Diana & Luke

When describing Diana & Luke's wedding at the Disney Concert Hall downtown, I'd say the words "elegance" and "grandeur" come to mind; any photographer who's been to the venue will tell you that is a gorgeous site to photograph---beautiful reflective light and dramatic backgrounds. The couple, who met in law school (Luke insists she flirted with him, which Diana denies up and down!) wanted to capture a little of the old Hollywood glamor for their guests, which I can't say is hard to do when working in downtown LA!

Big props to the planner Hylah for swooping in like a well-organized superhero and saving the day several times during this wedding, which happened to land in the middle of a face-meltingly intense heat wave. Hylah rose to the occasion to tackle all the hiccups unbearably hot weather presents, I am so glad she was there!

Hollywood Roosevelt Wedding

Janet and David have a whirlwind romance that all began with a date at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt, which is where they decided to wed with an intimate ceremony in the hotel's classic lobby.  I was a little concerned leading up to their event due to some of the unusual challenges presented by lighting and extremely tight scheduling, but after a week of strategizing timelines and mapping light plots, I think Matt and I pulled off some fantastic pictures for them.Roosevelt Hotel HollywoodRed shoes

Our Lady of Angels Wedding, Downtown Los Angeles

Nancy and Vinny sure know how to pick a ceremony site! Bride Against Breast Cancer!

A couple weeks ago Luminaire Images teamed with Simply Mumtaz Events planning, The Spiraled Stem florals, Ferndale's Bridal salon, and Sculpted Silhouette lingerie to donate a spectacular charity wedding for breast cancer survivor Binh and her faithful fiancé Dean!  Christine at The Spiraled Stem organized the vendors and fielded applicants for what was dubbed the "Say I Do" Contest, and ultimately selected Binh who wrote about how she was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 21 and how her boyfriend Dean not only stood by her throughout harsh chemotherapy treatments, he also asked her to marry him.Other vendors involved include the Doubletree Hotel San Pedro, DJ Tony WayneRossmoor PastriesChivari Chair Rentals, and J&M Entertainment photo booths.harborBinh's lovely Maggie Sottero dressbridesmaid emotionbridal hair accessorybouquetsBinh's pearl necklace and one of her treatment scars Looooove this image!Groom in mirror

Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer

Christine and Jess are musicians with the Air Force band, so any official government function you ever see on television with a band or orchestra/quartet performing, look for them!  They live in D.C. but decided to get married on the sunny California coast during an deliciously warm Memorial Day weekend.
