Couldn't be happier with Tammy & Chris' photos from their wedding last month. They had the perfect mix of warm temperatures and cool breezes, bright sun and soft clouds, and supportive friends and relatives with cute kids.

I had so much fun with Laura & Greg's engagement session at the fair this summer, I couldn't wait for their wedding! Strawberry Farms wedding photos

How a couple could have such a sweet, traditional, quiet church wedding ceremony and then such a raging bash of a wedding reception party boggles the mind! Jenny and Dave wed on a hot October day, mercifully inside a beautiful air-conditioned chapel attended by family, friends, and Dave's teen children, and then went on to throw the party of the year in a nearby barn. Waterfront Hilton Huntington Beach wedding

I know many couples reminisce about how sore their faces are after their wedding day is over, from genuinely smiling all day long. Somehow I doubt this would be the case for Niki and Rob, for whom laughter just comes so easily...for both them as well as their families. Such a good time and such a warm, loving group. Niki was three months' pregnant on her wedding day and you couldn't help but notice her perfect glow, I think they're going to have a pretty happy, laughing baby...it's in the genes!Venue: The Waterfront Beach ResortPlanning: A Good Affair Wedding & Event ProductionFlowers: Designs & DetailsDJ: Invisible Touch EventsCake: Simply Sweet CakeryMakeup: Beauty by Tifinihuntington beach waterfront hilton weddingSlack1022pregnant brideSlack1129Slack3036I love Niki's mother's reaction to seeing her daughter walk down the aisle. A stellar engagement ring, a ladykiller of a ring bearer, the poofiest most Sex-in-the-City veil I've ever laid eyes on, and a massive mouthwatering buffet including a humongous seafood spread---all could be found at Sloane and Kevin's wedding. The Center Club Costa Mesa Wedding - Lori and Nick

I love how down-to-earth and mellow Lori and Nick are! Tracy and Richard Wedding at Westridge Golf Club

What I love about Tracy and Richard is that they are so salt-of-the-earth, All-American, and mellow; case in point: Richard goes by the nickname "Bub," among both friends and family. You might remember Tracy and Bub's engagement session at Stone Brewing Company, which they opted for because one of their favorite pastimes is just hanging out with a good beer. And at their wedding, it was like the inevitable chaos that occurs on a wedding day just seemed to sort of happen around them instead happen to them; any concerns that cropped up seemed to roll right off their backs like it was nothing. Talk about a model couple!Venue: Westridge Golf Club in La Habra, CAPlanning: Silver Charm EventsFloral Design: The Enchanted FloristBride's dress: Maggie SotteroBride's shoes: Audrey Brooke

Long Beach Museum of Art wedding photos - Nallely & Ivan wedding

It's always an honor when an employee or other representative of a business within the events industry asks us to photograph their own wedding, and Nallely and Ivan's wedding at the lovely seaside Long Beach Museum of Art will have been our second wedding in a year for a LBMA employee. This particular couple put a lot of time and thought into their event, including some adorable DIY details and some Eastern European wedding traditions to delight Ivan's Bulgarian family members.Venue: Long Beach Museum of ArtHair/makeup: Cindy AntezanaFloral Design: Bride & BloomCakes: Porto's BakeryDJ: DJ Jose Lemon

The couple included the clever idea of putting "advice cards" on each table instructing guests to write words of advice for Nallely and Ivan to read on the anniversary corresponding with the table's number:

OK, can I just take a moment to talk about how beautiful these cakes were? It's when I see desserts like these from Porto's Bakery that I start feeling a little envious of the guests. There wasn't a crumb left after they were served, by the way! More gorgeousness:

In accordance with Bulgarian custom, Nallely and Ivan broke a ceremonial loaf of sweet bread  over their heads to see who would get the bigger half (and thereby act as the head of the household!).

A few nighttime portraits around the museum...

Congrats to Nallely and Ivan! So many happy years ahead of you!

Grace and Joe | Waterfront Beach Resort, Huntington Beach wedding

Grace planned to surprise her fiancé Joe (a sports fan) with a performance by the Los Angeles Laker Girls at their wedding reception, however Joe "snooped" and ended up finding out about the surprise weeks before the wedding. So the couple planned for the girls to surprise all of their guests and wedding party instead, when the group danced in during the grand entrance. The guests were pretty surprised and delighted, especially the groomsmen! Dove Canyon Country Club wedding photos | Jamie & Justin

Jamie and Justin wed at the very-private Dove Canyon Country Club, nestled in the hills near Orange County's Santa Ana Mountains---and one thing is certain about this couple's future: Their children will have gorgeous eyes. And possibly an affinity for the Anaheim Ducks, as well as hardcore partying, because this wedding brought the house down!  Justin is a photographer himself, and set up an open-air photobooth capture some of the revelry as the night wore on. Amy & Coleman | Casa Romantica Wedding Photos

Amy and Coleman, the gorgeous couple you may remember from their beachy/football-y engagement session, got hitched a couple weeks ago on a glorious summery day on a cliff overlooking the bright blue Pacific. Their wedding is definitely one for the record books--amazing weather, amazing food, amazing venue, amazing entertainment, and TONS of amazing details. If you ask anyone who was there, they will surely nod and say such that it was a pretty amazing wedding, and that nothing less was expected from such an amazing couple!Venue: Casa Romantica Cultural Center & GardensFloral/Event Design & Planning: Natalie Good, A Good AffairCatering: Iva Lee's CateringDJ: DJ Todd, Essential Mobile MusicHair & Makeup: Amanda Davison, Lasting LookCake & Cookies: Simply Sweet CakeryInvitations: DIY'ed, from Paper SourceWedding Dress: Matthew ChristopherBride's Shoes: GlintGarter & Ring Pillow: Etsy

I was super excited to see our photos from Lauren & James' wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art featured in this Associated Press article regarding technology at weddings---Lauren and James themselves were interviewed for the article about changing their Facebook relationship status at the altar. It's crazy to see this article all over the web the day the story went out over AP's wire---right now it can be found over SEVEN PAGES' worth of Google news! Kind of an interesting glimpse into the world of online newscasting.

Oak Canyon Nature Center wedding

In early May Wendy and Sean, overwhelmed by the stress of planning a large autumn wedding, scrapped their original ideas altogether and began conceptualizing something that, in their own words, "just felt right."  Instead of September, they re-arranged their plans for May 30, Memorial Day.  Instead of a large, raging party, they invited only family members and close friends.  Instead of an event venue, they selected Oak Canyon Nature Center for the ceremony and Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill for an intimate dinner with their loved ones afterwards.  The result was a highly personalized and heartfelt union under a canopy of oak branches...really, just perfect.  And so perfectly Wendy and Sean, too!Oak Canyon Nature Center weddingbridal gown accent

unique wedding shoe photo

wooden flowersBeing a graphic designer herself, Wendy has an eye for texture and style and created much of the wedding day look herself...with the aid and expertise of Jessica and Ryan from ZOe Productions, of course!

mamegomaIn addition to being lovers of the great outdoors, Wendy and Sean are both avid video gamers, so it was no surprise that Wendy walked down the aisle to music from the game "Legend of Zelda," or that Sean kept "Sumu" (a toy mamegoma that frequently travels with the couple) in his pocket the whole day.

Wendy's glorious styling was by the talented Lisa O'Connor from Elements of Artistry.

Huntington Beach Hyatt wedding

I have known Jill since high school, and I can honestly say it was heart-warming to see her so smiley and happy on her wedding day.  I always feel so special photographing the weddings of friends, like I can give them something wonderful on a day that's among the most memorable in their lives.

Korine & Stephen wed on an unseasonably warm November afternoon at the French Estate in Orange, CA.  Korine and her bridesmaids' colorful bouquets were designed by Joan at Flowers of Orange, the dinner was catered by Elegant Affair Catering, and their cake was designed by Rockwells' Creative Cakes.  Many of Korine and Stephen's other details were creative DIY touches, such as the adorable little bridesmaid headpieces.Stephen & Korine's friend and ridiculously-talented maid of honor Micah drew the custom portrait of them for their signature frame.Antiquesgetting dresseddressveilbridesmaid broochblue flowersbridesmaid headpieceSuch unique bridesmaid hairpieces!applying the veilKorine's grandma sees her for the first time in her dresslipstickfrench estate decorKorineA portrait of Korine's dad, taken by Matt.A dolled up and ready to rock!Portrait of Stephen's father, taken by MattStephen and Korine opted to see each other before the ceremony, always recommendedbride and groomThe French Estate is a pretty and historic location for intimate weddings with 50 guests or fewer21st century couple!
